Counselling is a therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client. By accepting the client as a whole, positive change can be facilitated within a safe environment, underpinned by Understanding (Empathy), Genuineness (Congruence) and Respect (Unconditional Positive Regard). I work in a Person Centred way, and may also draw on Transactional Analysis and Mindfulness. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their code of ethics. I have regular supervision and I am committed to continuing professional development.
I specialise in offering counselling to woman and young people. I have a dedicated private practice therapy room at Horndean, Hampshire, with client parking. Counselling sessions are normally weekly, but can be arranged to suit your individual needs.
I also offer telephone counselling if you are unable to attend in person sessions.
